I an swapping a 1994 gc8 wrx sti ej20 turbo motor in my 96 impreza outback wondering how high of boost I can run reliably on that motor it's completly stock and what kind of hp I will be pushing and also what is the rev limiter on it I think it's 8k

what wires exactly would i need to splice?

so if i were going to try to swap my svx motor 3.3 h6 into my 96 impreza ouback would i be able to at all? could i use my 5 speed Tranny? ECU swap? Different engine harness?

yeah i know i am making my own up pipe with my pipe bender from the flange to the turbo the down pipe

here is what i have so far what else do i need intercooler just bought oem ej20 turbo need a y-pipe need to make my up and down pipe need a oil feed to and from turbo how do i tune or set boost for it???

n/a ej22 thats why i wanted to use the gl-10 turbo only bossting like 7-8 psi iam getting a good deal on all this stuff i just wanna add a little bit of power to the very little 135hp it has now just wanna get it to like 165+hp i would just get an ej25 but thats more than iam spending i got: WRX/STI Top mount/BOV: $30 GL-10 Turbo : $40 Custom up/down: $100 intstalled

will the turbo from a gl-10 work with a wrx intercooler and custom up and down pipe

beacuse the throttle body on the wrx is a passanger side throttle cable and the one on my ej22 is drivers side and wont allow my tmic to fit because it hits on the bov

will a 02-04 wrx throttle body work on my ej22???????

perfect thanks and yeah i dont want to much power increase just a little i wasnt planning on running more than 8 psi anyway so some custom fab needs to be done then as well.

i have a 97 impreza wagon tranny 5 speed it will work in your ouback model i paid $550 for it, it only has 47k on it i have the papers from the yard i got it from i dont need it anymore make me an offer iam not sure how much shipping will cost for it tho

just wondering if anyone has turboed there ej22 and if so what kind of reliable power/boost can it handle. also could i use the intercooler and turbo off of a wrx or sti on this engine.

i have many questions about doing this swap my main one is.... i have two 2.2 trannys one for a 97 legacy 5 speed and the other for a 96 impreza 5 speed will either of those work with a ej25???? also i will have to change my ecu correct???? any other helpfull advice would be nice as well

yeah i just don't know what to do with the shift linkage and clutch and all that? so r&r is 3.5 hours at a shop it would be around $300 for them to pull out my old one and put in my new one?

well i bought it as a fixer upper. all the gears grind and fourth is completely gone i drove it from San Diego to phoenix like that just skipped fourth and went straight to fifth. the guy who owned it before me a was an older guy and i picked it up Farley cheap and found a tranny hear before i went to get it. anyways i had help from a friend that works on cars but he been swarmed with work so i have to do this quest on my own haha.

can anyone give me a semi detailed step by step to pull and change a transmission in my 97 legacy awd 5 speed i have done one in my 96 legacy awd automatic. i have never done a standard tranny before...

cool thanks i have the trans chart they have the same final drive both are 3.9 most of all the other gears match up tho i think second gear is different.

wondering if a 96 impreza 5 speed will fit into my 97 legacy wagon both are already 5 speeds and awd. i think they are both ej22 as well need some help because trannys are hard to find in az and real exspensive. thanks

1996 subaru legacy turbo if the rear end is out can i put the fwd fuse in and drive it? and also how hard is it to replace the rear end in it and how costly thanks
