  1. Ive been having some overheating issues with my 97 2.5l legacy outback. Intermit overheating while driving. the reservoir on the radiator was cracked and replaced without a problem. it still began to overheat after about 10 mins. I thought it might be the thermostat so it was replaced.... yes ive become aware of the aftermarket t-stat issue and will be replacing it soon. still no luck. the radiator was burped twice, ive been using a coolant funnel that replaces the radiator cap while its being refilled. ive seemed to get all of the bubbles out finally after burping it for 45 min but i still see some very fine pinpoint bubbles the consistancy of foam when the engine is reved to 2500 rpms. the upper and lower hoses are both hot and bulging... besides replacing the t-stat any suggestions?
