Legacy04

Just had mine replaced under warranty. First they thought it was the computer, but it turned out to be a cracked ignition coil. Seems strange since I didn't have any issues in the rain.

New computer so they say.

Dropped off car last eve, and stealer called me this AM saying there was NO recall, but it will be fixed under warranty.

Just spoke with the stealership & there was a recall on the unit.

I just noticed the same thing on my 04 2.5. Seems to shut off when going up a very slight incline. Light stays lit, gas stops though. I think it's under warranty until 36K.

Thanks! I have never had a car who's mirrors frost as much as this one. Going to pick up a set a Nokian NRW's w/steels this summer.

Been driving the suby off and on now for a few. The girlfriend drives is mostly. I have a couple minor gripes... 1. When its cold the side mirrors ALWAYS have a layer of frost on them. 2. Weird sounds from the engine when warming up? click thud ? 3. I don't think it handles any better than my Jetta w/snow tires. In fact maybe worse. It is the Potenza's.. WDYT

Yesterday my wife was hit by an truck in rush hour traffic. She must have been in the trucks blind spot, and the driver decided to change lanes. She was shaken up but OK. However, the car is not OK. Looks like I am going to need new doors on the drivers side. Any tips on dealing with the insurance company? Thanks

I am going to give it a few more K before I start changing fluids and double clutching. Thanks for the input though. I guess I wanted it to be a "break in " issue.

In shifting from 4th to 5th the shifter seems to be notchy, and sometimes there is a thud type sound. (nothing loud, but noticed none the less) There is less than 2k on the car. Am I possibly letting off to quickly, or is this a typical suby "break in" type sound.

What type are you putting in? How easy is it to access the filter and pan? I pick mine up on monday and am already thinking ahead. M1 5w30..

I ended up closing for $18,055. I just hate car dealerships. I am stoked about the car though.

I have them down to 17,500. No fees, hidden costs, ect I don't think he knows MA tax is already included in that figure. If all goes well, and I get $1,500 for the trade (KBB value), I will be posting regularly on this board. Keep those prices comming....I guess the new Legacy's are out very soon and have a turbo. I am going to hold off an see if I can get it for 17K w/all fees ect.

Anyone buy one recently? I am curently in negotiations with a local dealership.
