Are there any online parts Microfiche for Subaru parts?

Ok, got to looking at my son's old 1987 Subaru wagon and took the spare tire out. I found a thick hose that is about 10 inches long that fits onto the top of transmission but the other end does'nt connect to anything that I can see. Is it a breather tube or? Need help, thanks

Stock OE, I think that it is carbureted not injected but will double check tonight. Gotta make it easy for me you know?
I would check the codes first.spfi I assume?
connect green connectors and count the blinks.

Sorry about that, the home computer was not working correctly. It is a 1987 Automatic transmission 4wd gl wagon. Your basic setup. Everything seems to work properly except this stupid light which seems to come on and off whenever it wants to. Most of the time it says on for awhile and then goes off. Where would I check for loose connections?

So as long as the boot is clamped onto the housing and protects the joint it should be ok? The position that the boot is actually clamped onto is not something that I should be concerned with?

My son just bought an older (1987) Subaru 4wd wagon GL and I checked the boots on the CV and they are in good shape but wondered about the position that they are supposed to be in. The clamp on the boot secures it to the shaft but I noticed that when it was picked up that the boot was closer to the engine than it is now. In other words the boot looks like it slid out towards the outside about 2 inches on the shaft. Is this important? Where should the boot be positioned? I don't want him driving it unless it is on right. Would appreciate any help..
What is this tube and where does it go on trans? 1987 4wd
