Hi everyone - I have a '93 Loyale and I tried the instructions at the the troublecodes site - but things didn't work out. Here are my problems and questions for trying to read my check engine light:
- In the area under the hood up towards the windshield on the drivers side I find a pair of green connectors and a pair of white - no black. Am I looking in the wrong spot? Should I have two black connectors somewhere?
- I can't find an LED mounted on a module under the driver's side dash. Other parts of the instructions say the check engine light will blink - which is it - the check engine light or some other LED? If some other LED, where do I find it?
- We connected the white connectors and watched the check engine light when we turned the key to the on position (not started) and nothing happened - no blinking.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to see what the check engine light is indicating without going to a shop and paying them big money to read the codes. Obviously we tried places like Checker and Advanced Auto and they said the car is too old - they can't hook up to it and read it.
Thanks!
Jon
