  1. Hello All I just put an EA 82 engine back into my cousin's 85 GL Wagon Carb car. I replaced timing belts, idler gear, tensioners and replaced the gaskets on the oil pump. I had my son put his finger over the #1 cylinder spark plug hole to check for TDC on compression. He stated that air was being blowing out of the hole and I checked the flywheel and it showed was lined up with TDC mark. Well to make a long story short, the boy was wrong and we have the engine already in the car. Is there an easy way to fix this issue without having to pull the engine out again? thanks ed
  2. Thanks these images help out a lot. I very much appreciate it. -ed
  3. I know this has been spoken to a lot in the posts but I need help. I have a 1985 GL Wagon EA82 Carb'ed engine I do not know what kind of carb it is as I am a noob But swapped out engine with a broken crankshaft bolt for one that is a little less worn. It is actually my little cousin's car, her first and I am trying to read the vacuum line diagram on the hood but it makes no sense. I am not sure where or what all the parts are it is talking about. Does anyone have a good diagram that they can share with me so that I can get her car out of my driveway and her back on the road as a happy driver again? thanks ed
  4. I am new and am putting together a 85' GL Wagon 4x4 carbed EA82. Long Story is I broke the crankshaft pulley bolt off in my old engine and pulled an engine from a junk yard. Needless to say that I have forgotten where all the vacuum lines go. Is there any pictures besides the one on the hood that anyone could share. As I am not to good with reading that vacuum hose diagram that is on the hood. Does not seem to match the engine that I pulled nor the one that i put in.
