  1. Thanks for the advise, tracking down all grounds right now. Also i have power at the idle circuit, can i pull out the solenoid and see if its working?
  2. Ok so I figured out the no power to the coil on my 86 Gl, now trying to figure out why my rear running light work fine until the headlights are turned on then the go extremely dim. Next would be the car starts up on choke fine, then it dies right after it comes of choke and wont idle. 2k rpm and above it runs just fine. Car had cruise and that has been removed along with half the emission crap. Getting a service manual today but thought i would see what you guys have to say?
  3. I thought so to but i'm getting power at both sides of where i soldered them together. Kinda hard to tell but I think it was the black with white strip that was melting/melted the connection. Also the ecu was flashing one long flash followed by one short one.
  4. So I picked up a 84 GL from a guy that broke down in my parking lot. Found the ignition switch connector was melted and no get power through it. So I spliced them together until I can get the correct connector. Started it up and drove it all day, ran good besides it wont idle(another problem lol) So it was running today and all of a sudden it died. Motor turns over, but no power at coil and no dash light. My free time is limited so i thought I would see if you guys could help me out! Thanks,Willie
