  1. I have heard about this build and I think I will do this as well. I have a 95 Leggy wagon that is getting a new slushbox but the 2.2 has 403K KM on it. It runs great (as most 2.2's do) but i envy the Torque and HP that my wife's Forester has. The cool thing is that I can reuse the timing belt as I just changed it last month. Luckily I found a JDM twin cam EJ25 at a JDM shop that has head issues and was just returned. I think they are going to junkit so I am going to try him on for $50 to take it off his hands. I will keep you updated if i go for this. 190 hp in a leggy wagon..... hmmmm this is going to be fun!!! BTW.... I hear the compression ratio gets bumped to 11:1 !!!wow.... My GSR would have been jealous! Jeff
  2. Hi everyone, A quick intro. I own a 95 leggy wagon and an 03 Forester. I have owned 3 other Subes as well rebuilding 1 SOHC 2.5 and 1 DOHC 2.5 motor in 2 of these cars (yes the head gasket) But .....I RallyX a Honda Civic! OK OK why most ask... well I started buying Acuras and Hondas after working for an Acura dealer 17 years ago. It got in me and I decided to have some fun with these cars. I Ice raced an 89 Integra and had tonnes of fun for years. I then took my street car a 95 GSR and started to rallx with it. It was quite competitive. That car went boom so I bought a 99 Civic Hatch with a B18C swap, Its fast fun and even in the snow it beats 90% of the AWD field... I am not here to shoot off about my Honda.. its what I race and it affordable fun... But as a DD I love my Leggy wagon and my wife loves her Forester. So I will offer repair advice when I can as I have been turning a wrench now for over 30 years. I am also a Data Specialist for a large Automotive Retailer in Canada (Canadian tire) in Automotive parts so if you need assistance finding hard to get items in the aftermarket ask! I will do what I can to research for you. My rides: 95 leggy Wagon AWD 2.2 auto 238,000 miles 03 Forester XS AWD 2.5 Auto 88,000 miles 99 Civic hatch B18C 5 speed 150 body/50 on motor. Jeff L.
  3. Getting a good engine wash at a detail shop is smart as well. Watch the brake fluid on hot surfaces. Certain formulas emit a poisonous gas if overheated.
