  6. The other night I was driving home and went to speed up and I did not have any power then my engine just cut off. After I was stopped I tryed starting the car a few times then it started. The next morning my car would only crank after trying for awhile it started. I let it run for awhile then turned it off and on a few times and it started each time. But today it would only crank. Any Idea's where I should start looking? My car is a 1986 xt ea82t. Thanks guys.

  11. There is coolant going to the overflow but it's not boiling but, the radiator pulls it back. When the gauge goes red it's not there for long and the car has not shutdown. I have not seen any coolant in the oil and the engine has not lost power.
  12. Sorry I should have said that I did a coolant flush too
  13. Hey guys here is the issue. Driving around town car runs hot but not overheating but when I get on the highway I will go into the red then goes right between the red and white line. 1986 xt Ea82t. Yes I have replaced the t stat with one from subaru and bleed the air from the coolant system.

  15. Lets show off our engines.
  16. Question guys, do any other subies from the 80's use the same size windshield as a 86 xt? the reason I ask is because all the auto glass shops around said it would take a few weeks to get a new one. I need a new windshield asap so I was going to check the parts yard tomorrow for a good one.
  17. Can a spider intake be installed on a 1986 ea82t and and what year and model of subie can I get it from.
  18. Now that I am done with all the work its time to clean up the mess. What do you guys like to use for cleaning the engine and engine well. Also can any one tell me the vac hose sizes for a ea82t. Thanks

  20. I went to the pick in pull out side JBLM yesterday and scored 15 fuseible links for 2 bucks. FYI they have 4 gl wagons there, most with the ej22 and a na ea82
  21. yeah i had to special order the black link for my xt awhile back. I think I will just order a bench stock of all the links.
  22. Has anyone ever converted the fuseible link box to a standard fuse box or is it even possible?
  23. If you do a dash change you will need to get a new fuel level sender. Also you will need to change the oil pressure sender. And since you will have it torn apart it cant hurt to replace the bulbs in the new dash. I did my dash swap a month ago.
