Hey thanks for the primer on Subies! Has anyone put together a engine interchange reference page? Meaning a page that shows which engines can be swapped into which cars? Specifically, can a complete EA81 or EA81T be put in a 1st gen Brat? Will it bolt right in? Or are we talking about modifying everything to make it work. Thanks! Scott Faivre

I see people using letter and number combos to reference engines and such. EA18 or something like that. Has anyone put together a reference FAQ on this kind of stuff? I'm a newbie and I'm looking to buy a brat. I'm not very well versed in Subaru mechanicals, but I am very familiar with the boxer engine. I've got 15 years in the aircooled VW hobby and know my way around them. Any pointers for me as I go look at a few Brats? Thanks! Scott Faivre Las Vegas, NV
