  1. front strut replacement

    schwick posted a topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
    NEW TO ME, 87 gl wagon, 4wd dual range, 5spd, 1.8, 218k miles, maintained. It floats going down the road, so I want to tighten-up the suspension. Tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings, and struts. Please help with front struts selection: KYB has fronts for Hatch Back 4wd but not for the Wagon. Subaru parts # are the same for hatch and wagon, but will the after market parts listed for hatch fit the wagon? Monroe and Sachs both list struts for the wagon but I stubbornly wanted to stay matched with KYB for the front and rear. Use will be daily commute and light adventure trail rides around Phx AZ. Thx in advance.
