  1. Hey thanks yeah I guess that is worth looking in to for sure, However it seems like the one I pulled off that was kinked was a pre-bent hose. However I do have it fixed thanks to some ghetto fabulous engineering with material from Lows and radiator hose form Auto Zone. lol she runs awesome now so whatever. Ill go to a dealer and look that part up though for sure good idea! But now I'm not so rushed. I hated it venting to the atmosphere, such a huge difference in the way the car runs I don't get how anybody would rather have the blow off sound than have a smooth running vehicle. Thanks again all good to go!
  2. Thanks for all the input. I already understand everything you guys are saying to me I just need to see a stock set up. Its a legit STI intercooler no doubt about that. I guess whats happening with my recirculate tubing is just to hard to try and explain I think people are getting different ideas in there head other than whats actually going on. Thanks again though for the response. I'll get it done.
  3. One more question I want to make it recirculate again, but is it safe to drive with the intake part of it plugged off and it venting to the atmosphere? I know people do it and there are write ups on this like crazy just wondering what you have to say on it. It idles alright and seems to run fine for the most part. Not trying to leave it like this for very long.
  4. Hey, thanks. Yeah I am a horrible speller and use the wrong form of the same word all the time its dumb. ha fml. Yeah thanks for the sites I'll check them out. Also yeah I thought about looking at a stock WRX to see if it gives me a clue that's probably my best bet.
  5. Right on man! Thank you for the support looking forward to talking to some fellow Subaru guys.
  6. So I am new to the WRX ownership and noticed to day that something was not right. I have a 06 WRX and it has a STI top mount IC swap but I looked and the bov recirculating hoes was very very kinked right out of the bov. So I decided to pull it out. Just the hoes that is. Then get something longer to replace it with. Turns out there is no room to speak of under the TB so I was just baffled on how you would even replace something like that. There is no space at all big enough to run that hoes through. Ripping the old one out was a chore in its self and it was even crushed pretty bad at that tight spot. So I ghetto rigged something with some 1" elbows and recirc tubing to reroute it and its still ridiculous. I am kind of pissed LOL its very frustrating. Is this common? Because I have been researching the swap and everything I can to come up with a similar story and its not working. So my question is, is there a proper way to do this or something that the previous owner must have done incorrectly? Any input helps I just am not happy with my ghetto alternative. There has to be a better way. Oh! There is allot of crazy, and what seems unnecessary vacuum lines running certain places and to the intercooler making that area for the recirc tubing more cramped than it already is. I wonder if these can be nixed because they are taking up recirc tubing prime real-estate. Thanks.
  7. Stoked to finally own a Subaru I have always wanted one but could never afford it. Just got back from Afghanistan and that money helped me accomplish just that. I have a 2006 silver WRX, with an 18g, 750cc injectors and a Walbro 255. It also came with a COBB AP, then of course exhaust, god I love that sound its so unique and sexy. But so far so good for the most part had to redo some hokey stuff done to it that wasn't cutting it. I have had it for 3 days now lol. Not completely new to turbocharged cars and getting my hands dirty I have done allot with cars over the years but sense I enlisted in the ARMY I have gotten a little rusty on common knowledge. Definitely don't know much about Subaru's. I built a turbo KA24DE in my 91 240sx hatch and had a clean 91 CRX and swapped a LS in to it and was about to boost it but enlisted and thought the extra cash would be nice to have. I love projects and building cars but it feels good to have a newer vehicle and one that I have always wanted. So I'm sure Ill have questions soon probably ones that have been answered a 1000 times but ill look hard before I open my mouth. I'm not here to waste anyone's time. I am stationed in Fort Drum NY and I am from Bellingham Washington. I have a year left then its back to the west coast. That's my intro stoked to be here.
