  1. hey Cougar, thanks for the info.....think i have found the problem, at least most of it....pretty sure the connection between the coil wire and coil was poor.....very poor.....the coil itself is pretty badly corroded so it will be replaced could've saved us both a bit of trouble had i just hooked up a timing light first time around.... thanks again for your help....again a great site, will return should the need arise best, 2bornot2b
  2. will do cougar.... new to usmb.....greats stuff.....spent several hours reading up... i wonder if the cam position/angle sensor...not sure of the name....might be it.....i have a 92 loyale....may switch the bits and see if one or both does the trick....but not until i've checked the relay contacts... thanks tons, 2b
  3. hey all, have a 93 loyale with, i think, fuel issues.....filter is new......she fires right up, is strong for a few moments then cuts out completely for a moment, and is fines for a few....goes back and forth like that regardless of throttle position. fuel pump pressurizes and regulator cuts outs, but when running i can hear the pump slow down just before the engine misses.......i am thinking its the pump......anyone with ideas?......i hate to spend the money .....i know there are other bits that might be the problem......but i don't have the knowledge or tools.....sure appreciate any input......i do have a spare fuel pump from an 85 turbo.....would that pump work in a 93?.... thanks 2bornot2b
