Yeah i was thinking fuel cell too. I think my swap may not start for about 4 months at least but Ill try to do all my planning and prep work in the meantime.

Do you guys know if anyone have tried to put a subframe and coilovers in the rear of a brat? I was thinking about trying to swap everything from an 04 wrx into my brat. I know this will take lost of custom work but I think might work out ok. Just wondering if someone has done it?

I was thinking about do this. I guess I will start looking into what might work and see if i can make it happen. If you get to it before i do then make a thread!!! and i will do the same if i do it also where in Alb. do you live?

Hey guys I just picked up a 79 brat and it came with a 78 parts car It is in pretty good shape, the common rust spots i guess. I have been a Suby guy for a few years now. I had a 2000 2.5rs , 99 2.5rs, 2000 rs with a wrx swap that a friend and i drift, and my baby a built motor 05 Sti with 530ph corrected . Now i have 2 brats to add to the mix. I think i will just clean up the 79 (red) and just drive it for a while. keep the 78 (blue) for parts for now. Maybe if i get some more money build a little off roader with one of them. new brats and you can see the drift car behind them. The drift car The Sti one of the rs's Thanks for looking!!!

Yeah that is true, I guess when it comes time to do something fun with it i might deal with it. i was just thinking if it was something that would swap over i could go ahead and do it. Thanks for your help man!!

So its probably not worth swapping everything over? Is the 1800 and the dual range that much better to make it worth it? I think i can find everything out locally but i dont know much about them to know if it would be worth all the work?

I Just bought a 79 brat with the single range trans and was wanting to know if the dual range is a direct swap other than the interior console and shifter? Will it swap over with the same axles and driveshaft? also are there any things i should know about these cars quirks? PS- Im new I will introduce myself and show pics soon
