I've got a 1978 Brat. A while back, the ignition lock broke. I purchased a new one from a locksmith. He said it was the right lock and it looked identical, but since I put it in, the lock seems to be really sloppy, the steering wheel lock works sometimes and the Brat only starts sometimes. I also replaced the switch, but it still does the same things. Is there some secret to replacing these locks?
