forgot that part to? whats wrong with me today! its 1984 Subaru GL EA-81 4speed DR 4wd

ok, i just pulled both drums off and looked at the bearings. Pass side shaft is loose, as in i can pull the outside bearing off by hand with ease and can move the shaft up down left right. Driver side wont come off as easy, haven't pried on it or nothing and shaft doesn't move up down side to side. Seem like bearings? Also if a bearing fails it could lock up right? Pass side tire had a few flat spots on it (Down to the cords) going from the outside edge of the tire to the front inside edge.

ohh crap i thought i typed that in there...NEED MORE COFFEEEEEEEEEEE. Anyways its a 84 GL. found them on rock auto for 36 shipped...wont be ordering till prob next week...also need to figure out why the tires are worn on inside edge.

Looking for a place to get rear wheel bearing, wifes are going bad and want to get it fix asap, but local parts house wants 78 bucks each That seem right?

didnt mean to offend by any means, but guess my hillbilly red neck way of life doesnt fly here.i understand that its a great engine and well respected, just didnt know its owners were so sensitive. guess i should have said japanese instead of jap anyways not to worried about the leaking oil, thats an easy fix, more concerned on the smoking from tail pipe an little oil splaters that come from tail pipe. so if i were to put that weber on what else would have to change? from what i have seen on here the 82 intake is an easy swap. guess what im trying to understand is whats the difference between the ea81 weber and the ea82 weber. sorry if i offended anyone

all right been lurking around awhile an figured it was time to post. wife picked up an 84 wagon in a trade for her astro van last sept, every thing ran good besides being a p.i.a to start on cold mornings but now its burning oil/leaking oil an starting to sound like a box of rocks. so what all would be needed to do a tear down/re-ring for it? ima jeep guy who built a 4.7 stroker for a DD Cherokee, lil jap motor confuses the ************ out of me...for now anyways also found a guy who has a weber 32-36 dgav 3381 with plate,gasket an air cleaner for a ea82. would this work on the ea81 if i did the ea82 intake swap? guy only wants 100 for every thing so why not buy it, and if it wont work then sell it to USMB sorry no pictures...yet. posting from my sons nintendo WII lol
