unfortunately I'm not that advanced thats why i paid to have put in the current boot is not ripped but axle has play if i gave it a visual novice inspection is there something i might be able to tighten or do you think i got a p.o.s. remanufactured part?

any idea why a new one would loosen up in under 5oo miles?

i had a remanufactured cv joint and axle put on the car 2 months ago by my mechanic this is one thing i had no clue how to do. it was last month and he said that it seemed ok boot ripped and it wasnt worn much but not great but it was loose.so i had him replace it now its loose again and clunking i grabbed the axle and moved it left to right about 2 inches each way. my mechanic passed away and it so i cant bring it back. what would make it go loose again.
