  1. Hey there fullas. Anyone whos keen on lending a hand to change the VC in my legacy would be an absolute legend. Started getting torque bind after warm probably 3 weeks ago now, check tires, wear and changed fluids, it helped but is still around. Not too keen on dropping a fuse in the FWD slot, I can't find much info on the damage that may or may not cause so I'ld rather hold off incase it busts even more. Done alot of research to diagnose it and I'm certain it's the VC. It's a manual trans so I'ld have to replace to whole unit. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has done it before and could help me out by giving me detailed instructions to remove and replace. And if your in New Zealand a reliable parts distributor. It's a 2002 legacy MT. I have gone to 4 mechanics asking about it, 1 told me front, centre and rear diff and trans would need replacing (god I hope not), 2nd said it's just fluid (tried that, didn't really work), 3rd trans is buggered, and 4th hadn't a clue. So yeah not too keen on letting those fullas work on my GEM! Any help would be awwwesome. I love my Subaru and would hate to have to get rid of it because of this silly problem. Chur bros!
