I'm sorry, I was speaking in terms of her being the 1st Generation Honda made 4WS! I know she isn't a 1st generation prelude, she's a 3rd Gen! :-p And yes, she is an 88. My favorite out of all the preludes I've owned (91 4WS, 92 Si, 99 Si and the 88 4WS) The first picture is mine!

Thank you! If so would the pedal come back up & still be drivable? I drove her about 20mins to my Dad's to drop her off and it didn't do it again. Just squealed while the clutch was engaged changing gears. She is also idling kinda strange while in neutral, like she wants to cut off. She goes from 1000 to a little below then back up to 1000?

The squealing only happens when the clutch is engaged. When it's released & in neutral there is no squeal.

Possible bad master cylinder? What do you think that would run me?

Used & It's around 90k miles, I know the owner personally & he "Says" he has kept her up mechanically. There is no shaking, the clutch just stuck to the floor & returned once I turned the car off. I turned her on again & engaged the clutch, it squealed but went into gear fine. Still with the burnt smell.

2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i The first day I drove her I fell in love! This is car is a BLAST to drive! I have big plans ahead for her. As soon as we get through our minor flaws; battery replacement, leaking tire, & now possible burnt clutch. :-/ I'm hoping this is just a "new owners" bad luck, & not a possible money pit I've always been a Honda girl (1st Gen, 88 4WS Honda Prelude. STILL running strong & NEVER left me sitting) I never thought I would go astray from my beloved Honda's :cool: I'm hoping my new Boobaru will be as dependable as all my Honda's were in the past!

2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i I'm new to Subaru, first one. I've been a Honda Girl m whole life! Please HELP! I was driving my son to school this a.m. & on the way back I'm pulling into the drive way & the clutch sticks to the floor, not returning until I turned the car off. My car filled with the typical burnt clutch smell. I cranked her back up & when I engaged the clutch, she made a squealing sound!?!?! I can still drive her, but with the clutch engaged it squeals! I checked all fluids, levels are all where they should be. Is the clutch going out, already out? WTF is going on?
