I am looking for a some places where I can buy tires for my 08 WRX. I have checked out a few recommended websites, Tire Rack, Tire Easy and Tread Depot. I know about Discount Tire, Pep Boys and Les Schwab but the tires here are more then the other tire websites. I wanted to check out some local tire shops in LA that can get me a better deal then these websites can. I have a few tires in mind that I want to get. The size I am looking for is 225/45/17. Some of the tires that I have in mind is Kumho Ecsta ASX, Kuhmo Ecsta AST, Toyo Proxes 4.

I read that these size tires 215/45R17 will also work too. I read that this size is a little wider. What is better to go with 215/45R17 or 205/50ZR17?

My tire size is 205/50-17. I am looking for some tires that have good grip on dry and wet roads. I also plan to go to the mountains so I want a tire that can grip good in the snow.

Hello, I am looking to get a new pair of all season tires for 2008 WRX Sedan. I have been doing some research and I am coming across a lot of all season tires but I am having a difficult time choosing. I need some recommendations on the some good All Season tires for less then a $100 a pop.

I took the 08 WRX inspected at a mechanic shop and the only things they found out is Brake Inspection: Front 20% and Rear 30% and need to replace all 4 tires. Needs a new air filter. How much do you think this will cost to replace?

My upper limit is $17,500.

I contacted the below mechanic shops and either they are not open any longer or not open on saturday. I have been checking out other states such as Washington, Oregon and Nevada but I am still unable to find one within my price range. I found one that is for $18,000 below are the conditions of the car. 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX -5 speed manual -5 door hatchback -Satin White Pearl - almost 62,000 miles (mostly highway) -clean title -$18,000 obo -run strong with no mechanical problems The FLAWS The car was in an accident in 2009. Front end damage. Everything was repaired by a Subaru certified autobody shop. The total expense was covered by the insurance so everything was the right. There are couple of scratches here and there (shown in pictures). There is a huge dent on the rear passenger side right above the tail light So far this is the best price that I have found an 09 WRX.

I can't find any 09 within a reasonable budget that is why I am going with an 08.

Rooster2 - Thanks, I checked out the NADA and the price of the car he is selling at is about the average according to NADA.

I tried bringing it down but $17,500 is how much he owes on the car.

According to a forum a read on NASIOC about 09 these years have engine failure issues. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1648372&page=4 I am leaning more towards an 08.

Hello, I am currently looking into purchasing either a 2008 or 2009 Subaru WRX. I have been doing some research and looking at reviews. What are some of the major differences between the 08 and 09? Also I read that the 08 has more problems then the 2009? Is this true and if it is what are the common problems seen in 08 and not the 09? I am debating between purchasing a used 08 or 09 with high miles but a lower cost or pay a little more and get one with low miles? Thank you.
