  1. i just replaced my , expansion valve ,and my receiver dryer.. Also my revolution sensor on my 2002 h6 motor. With no help from a damn manual. They dont exhist! everything went well. accept i forgot to mark the colors of the wires down that i pulled out of the Revolution sensor, so that when i reinstalled them in the new plug i would know what their configuration is..The wires going to the rev sensor stay attached to the top of the compressor by a clip and plug. There colors are black ,yellow and black with a stripe i beleive.. Can anyone look under there hood for me and see what there wire location is for the Rev sensor plug on top of the A/C compressor by color and location for the 3.0 h6 motor ? I would post a pic but for some reason it says i cannot...
  2. ok, i ordered my a/c replacement parts, receiver dryer, expansion valve, compressor rpm sensor. Where are these parts located..if anyone has a general direction besides under the hood it would be greatly aprreciated. I will find them i am sure. But time is money..I ordered the HVAC chapter of a tech manual for this as well but i would like to be able to locate them prior to parts recieved...thanks!
  3. where can i buy the sensor online for my 2002 h6 3.0 outback sedan ? i have the TSB with this part # 73190AE000 , i want to order it ..But i cannot find it? Is a dealer only item ?
  4. Does anybody know where to find a manual that covers the 6 cyl model legacy/outback ? Chilton ,nor hayes cover it?
  5. So found out that it is a multiple fail problem..revolution sensor fail, some receiver dryer fail, and a expansion valve fail..Not the ECU.. These all seem like things i can fix.. But where the hell are these parts located..lol.. Also who knows where i can find a munual that covers the H6 motor. Hayes, chilton.. none of these cover it..?
  6. Thank you very much for all the info.. I will press on with the troubleshooting !
  7. So i should just look for a blown fuse? i hadnt had time to look at it.. I had my wife dropped it at the shop and they rendered the decision that the ecu was not sending signal to the compressor.. It has had fits in the past though, the A/C would stop working on long road trips. Then after a rest period it would return to normal ops ? now it doesn't work at all..
  8. I have a definate noob question, i have a failing ECU on my 2002 legacy 3.0 . My air condition compressor is not getting any power from my ECU. Can i buy a used ECU and flash it to my car? Or do i have to get this done at the dealer. I have only worked on domestics my whole life, older models that are before all the diagnostic goodness...I have found several on ebay , that a reasonably priced. But i just need to know if it is a difficult task to swap it out and get it programmed? All answers are greatly appreciated !
