Sorry if this is on the wrong thread or if this has been asked before. I did a search and came up with nothing I saw relating to this. I recently bought a 95 legacy wagon 5spd AWD knowing the transmission was on its last leg and would need a replacement. So far the cheapest I have located is one out of a 1990 legacy. I know not every part will bolt up properly on the transmission. I am curious as to what extra parts I will need outside of the general swap from a 3.900 to a 4.111 (the guy has all those parts available and is selling them with the transmission). It's being sold for all parts and transmission at 350. Which is a damn sight cheaper than what I could find anywhere else. I know from reading on the forum that from 93 back, at least the starter will bolt up different? Is there any other issues you guys could clarify for me so I know what I am getting into before I go and buy this transmission. Or if it's even worth it. Or if possible a cheaper or easier solution if you know a good place in the Northwest to pick up transmissions. I can drive to anywhere in the state as long as they have what I need.
