  1. yea I have a 2001 Legacy wagon and it will not pass inspection because the rear subframe is rusted out. At this point I might attempt to fix it my self but its not worth paying all the expense to have someone repair it. The only thing that interest me about maybe doing the repair is that it would be the perfect oppertunity to give it a lift and make it into a small SUV instead of a wagon. Also Subaru's do not deserve a good reputation for reliability or standing behind their product. I had a 2005 outback XT and the engine and turbo blew at 90,000 miles. Subaru would not lift a finger to help and the car was a total loss.
