When I finished rebuilding a 2.5 non-turbo engine for a subaru forester.I went to install the torque converter and i thought it was seated properly. I turns out it wasn't and i pushed the engine into the non-seated torque converter many times thinking it was an alginment issue.
After reading how to seat the torque conveter I figured out what I did wrong and how to properly seat it.
My question is since the engine is out is there any way to tell if i messed up the transmission oil pump?
Should I just assume it needs to be fixed?
If so how difficult is it to repair?
I have search for about 2 hours and havn't found any answers to these question. Any help would be great.
Thanks
