  1. Thanks for the advice. Haven't had access to my PC since I posted. I'll check the linkage bolts, motor/transmissing mounts, etc. See what I find!
  2. Recently purchased an '83 wagon and noticed the 4wd light was flashing on and off so figured it was the switch. However upon further inspection I realized that the manual shifter is actually trying to move up as if it's trying to engage itself while driving. I can get the light to go off by pushing down on the lever but it starts to imediately move back up and the light starts flashing. If left alone the light will eventually be full on and I can hear a rattle as if it actually trying to engage. Any suggestions as to what could cause this or how to fix it? Thanks
  3. Still looking for an early 80's 4x4 wagon and found one but something doesn't add up. The gentleman states that it has a 4 spd M/T but doesn't think it is duel range Hi/Lo. I thought all 4 spd manual 4x4's in 1984 were duel range? He also mentioned that it has a digidash which added to my confusion. Thought that was only available on the turbo models? Can someone please clarify what the possibilities were in 1884?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. GD, The AT wagon that I'm considering is already a 4x4 so I don't understand why I would need a rear diff. Maybe you didn't notice that detail. I'm surprized the trans tunnel is not common. So, if I gathered all the parts, how much do you think it would cost me to get it done? Thanks for the info.
  5. I'm considering purchasing a '84 4x4 gl wagon with an AT. Is it common to swap the AT for a 5sp MT duel range. I think I have the necessary parts from a '85 wagon but would probably hire someone to do the work. Are there any known complications or special modifications necessary? What should I expect the labor costs to be? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
