  1. Problem one I have a nice little 91 Loyale wagon 5 sp. I starts great, runs great except at an idle then it is very rough but as soon as you put some gas to it, it smooths right out. There is a solid check engine light on. Problem two I dont get any reading on the temp gauge, again it runs fine, has plenty of fluid gut the gauge never moves and I am not sure the fan comes on, I don't hear it but I have not put the hood up and let it run to actually see if it comes on. Thanks for the help Jeff
  2. Thanks I will check into it I am not sure what soft is either. I thought maybe it was a hydraulic clutch and there was a problem with the reservoir or something but if its cable that wouldn't be the case. The cable as you said could be loose and in need of adjustment though.
  3. So the soft clutch item I am assuming needs to be replaced with a new clutch. I am wondering what the cause of the bad missing cylinder is. I am told the car won't go over 40 mph. This car is an 81 DL and is in good shape has about 150k on it any ideas? should I walk away or is it worth fixing. Thanks.
  4. Hi I have an 03 OB great car but I am looking at an 81 DL wagon. says one head was rebuilt, has a mis, and soft clutch. Over all car is in good shape not sure of the mileage think I can pick it up for 400 any thing I should be aware of? Thanks
