I have a 91 Subaru Legacy 2.2 non turbo. After replacing head gaskets , I am getting no spark.I took great care getting the timing belt exactly lined up as specified. According to the on board diagnostics, the cam position sensor was bad. I replaced it. The new one doesn't produce any better results. Any thoughts?
I have a related question regarding the timing marks. I recently replaced the head gaskets on my 91 legacy and I'm having the same issues with a lack of spark. Are the timing marks the same for a 91? I will admit to being a newbie to subarus, I've been a diesel and or Detroit engine mechanic for many years, but I'm not having much luck with this engine. thanks
