2 weeks ago the loyal gets 4 new tyre's , after that he passed ok treu the yearly inspection
So i did some work on the car : rust prevention!!
Starting rust fixed
Old newspapers
Like new!!
Shall fixed it too , the doors have some small damages , let that fixed to by professionels..
Also brandnew , no rustdamage at all , so for a 28 year old car in pretty good shape!
In the near future the car will get some fresh engineoil + filter , new airfilter and 4 sparkplugs :
Original subaru

Thanks Rene, I really enjoyed the ride!
You're welcome!!
Same ride but with my red 1990 loyale ( EA82 engine ) with my dog on the background..

Sunday april 8 we visited some friends in Enkhuizen , a 225km trip from Emmen and back home , so 450km that day
We used the loyal and he did it great!!
First long ride since i own the car..
A pic on the road who splits the Ysselmeer in 2 parts , the last 30km to Enkhuizen.
The day after a subarufriend wants to see the oldtimer , for an hour we had the most beautiful parking in Emmen and surrounding area
From left to right : Impreza 2.0GL awd MY99 , Loyale 1300dl MY84 and Impreza plus 1,6gl MY94 :-p
Also funny to know : the owner of the gray impreza is 4months younger then the Loyale

I did spend some time on my car
The left taillight was broken , and i did not like the way how they tried to fix it.
I did find a good one
Looks much better , and i did chanched the wiring from the third breaklight.
Whit gearbox in 'reverse' and my foot on the breaks it did'nt work
Was painted black , did removed the paint from it : looks much better with the doorhandles.
Excuse me for my bad English

I did not have a mirror on the right door , Leoneturbo had 1 for sale :
Retro car radio
-
That DL-STD sedan is so nice.
Slant console, manual choke... Do a 1800cc swap and it will be a real hotrod.
Up till now i'll keep the car original i know someone who has a EA81 in stock so a engineswap should be possible..
But that engine did run much more km's then the original EA65..
The things i like to do on the car : other radio with FM band on it , third brakelight , some work at the rearbreaks , new taillight and in the near future 4 new tyre's : is standing now on 4 different tyre's and i hate that!

There is also a oldfashion radio installed in the car..only medium and longwave :-p

Is that corrosion on the door seams and be pillar, or is that some sort of body undercoat wax?
It is a sort of undercoat wax , it is everywere on the car : at the inside of the hood , inside the trunk, engineroom etc etc
The last owner was someone from Belgium and he treathed this car with love and care , they never smoked in it!!

Hi all...i have some news to tell , since december 23 i own a second subaru :
This is a 84 loyale with only abt 55000km(+-34000 miles ) at the odometer..
The car is in a very good shape
EA65 engine under the hood and a manual 5 gearbox

At EA82 engines the hydraulic tappets can be polluted…
That explained it ticks

Hi all..
First off all i wish everyone a happy 2010 with lots off luck and in a good health
Since my last post here , i did some update's on the soob
Old closed grille
open grille from a '96 gtt
16 inch wrx jdm wheels , not on the car right now.
We have at the moment about 10 inches off snow , driving around with wintertyre's
A small rearspoiler on top off the backdoor..
Last picture in the snow , made this morning :
Excuse for my English , it is not 100% perfect but i hope it is good enough

did you check under the white one in the same spots for rust this time around?
Yes , it passed ok to the yearly inspection...
There is no rustdamage at all on this car , like a new one

Hi all...
Some update's from Holland..
After a inspection of the car , we discoverd some huge problem at the bottom :
It was possible to fixed it , but it costs about 400 euro's so i decided to say goodbey to the good old sooby.
I bought it in august 2006 for 250 euro's , and had it for 2,5 years with lots of fun and memory's
Usualy i drive 'low budget cars' , never spended more money then maximal +/- 500 euro's to buy a car and ride it for 2 or 3 years.
I agreed with my wive to spend a lot more cash for a car , so since may 15 we drive this one :
Say hello to the next sooby ( my fifth subaru ) an impreza plus 1,6gl fwd
This car is from oktober 1994
The wheels , missing 4 covers...
Those wheels coming from a legacy 2,2 gx..
i'm new here
