95 legacy bogging out...part 2!!!
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSo I took it for a ride a few miles up and down the highway, no more p0100. However I still need to replace my front o2 sensor. I'm getting a high voltage reading from the code scanner, 1.275. Think that will smoke my new/used MAFS? Or should I be good till friday when I get paid? Also ever hear of "MEAS" readimg on those scanners referring to voltage of o2, 0.090make any sense?

So I got a p0100 MAFS sensor OR circuit malfuntion. Got a MAF frim the boneyard but what if its the circuit? Where is this circuit? Same thing with my p0141 o2 heater circuit malfunction wheres the circuit? Also got MAF connector with about a foot of wire, one has bare wire coming out around like a double insulation prong number 4, any ideas?

Clutch problem.
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXFirst of all thank you. Adjusting it at this point is my only option, $$$$$. When you say input bearing, do you mean on the tranny, not the throw out bearing? Whats this goin for niwadays at a shop...ballpark?

Clutch problem.
95 Legacy EJ22E 5 speed with cruise. While the car is running not in gear clutch NOT pressed in just sitting there. I hear a sound like metal rubbing together. Push the clutch in and it goes away. I think it's the fly wheel ans pressure plate just barlt touching, do you agree? If so can I simply adjust the clutch and cure this? Been like this since I got the car. Also the squiking from the fork where the cable hooks up, whats that? Seems to be having an affext on peformance. Not slipping, also grabs about 3/4 up. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE HELP SO FAR!!!

Ignition.
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks Fairtax, you've been a great help!! Yeh seems like it was a one time fluke thing, floor mat got in the way maybe. I have had numerous times, when I didn't push the petal far enough. I'm looking in my haynes manuel now, seems simple enough, if needs be which I'm not going to worry about now, worst case I bypass it, THANKS AGAIN!!!

Ignition.
Hi, 95 Legacy 5 speed. Last week after getting gas I turned the key and I heard from the steering column a electric screeching sound, not real loud. Didn't start, turn key back then fired it right up. Few details then a few questions. The key is a copy, ignition is original key matches door. Clutch safty switch working fine. Original key could be a copy, looking at it now, all metal no plastic top. So has anyone ever squirted that real fine graphite powder in theres? Did it work? Can you change ingition without removing wheel? Yes its got an airbag. No rush just thinking of the furture, THANK YOU.

Seafoam ?
Maleki777 replied to john40iowa's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI used the spray one today. First got it for the IAC, jumpy idle. Went like 6 ounces through vacuum line off air duct into IAC, I figured I would go the other six ounces through brake booster to evenly distribute it got a little left. Idles better, no up and down. However I didn't think of this at the time, it came with a real long insert tube with a plastic 180 degree braket I belive so you can put into the throttle body and put the air duct on to keep in running, I could be wrong. I tell ya it's good stuff for finding exhaust leaks!!! Another thing on the list for me!!!!

95 legacy bogging out
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXTo whom it may concern, in conclusion I drove the subaru from Webster MA. CONN. Boarder to Haverhill MA. At the N.H. Boarder 150 miles round trip and the EJ22E never missed a beat!!! I think it's fair to say the subaru tech nailed it with ETC Sensor. While I was up there went to Brandy Brow junk yard probaly oone of the best in all of New England and grabbed a TPS, Igniter, and that stupid brack that holds the windshield washer motor in place, my cracked and wiper flop over windshield. Anyway grabbed the two for backups to cheap not to. So thank yo u all for your help, o2 sensors next on list, couldn't get at any bone yard!!! Thanks again:headbang:

95 legacy bogging out
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSo this morning fired it up and it died in five seconds, and would'nt start fed up I towed it to the sub dealer. Bad ETC Sensor, tech said wont run cause ECM cant tell wwhat fuel/air mix. Funny I checked for spark and had none they never said anything about it. Also tech said cam/crank sensor was recalled in the 95, so if urs are brown no good. My cam was black and crank was brown e gave me a free crankshaft sensor just threw it in. aside from that I'm gunna get new o2 sensors when I have more money and my o2 codes have cleared for now. What else should I be investing in? EGR, TPS, IAC? Running good, still a up and down idle for a few seconds before it levels out. Anymore ideas, its all about preventive matience now!!!

95 legacy bogging out
Maleki777 replied to Maleki777's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSo I sprayed all the vacuum lines with brake clean and no increase in RPM's. Also pulled code from haynes manuel p0141 " downstrem o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction" & p0130 "upstream o2 sensor or circuit malfunction" also could emphasize "drive cycle" do you mean starting car stopping and starting again? Anyway I'm going to hit the bone yard and get some sensors clean em' with MAFS cleaner double check ALL my connections and grounds, see if that helps.
