  1. I just replaced the cyl heads and reringed the pistons on my 88 ea82. But according to the temp gauge it is overheating. The coolant is full the waterpump is new and there are no leaks. I've heard that the radiators in these things like to plug up, any other ideas? I suppose the gauge could be off, ever since the upper rad hose popped in July it has read that it is overheating. Thanks!!
  2. I'm doing heads on my car and I came accross something that says that you have to warm the engine up, cool it down and retorque the head bolts. Does any body have experience doing that? Do you have to remove the cam carriers? Any advice would be appreciated !! Thanks!
  3. I'm rebuilding the engine in my wagon and i'm having trouble removing the piston pins. Does anybody have a good trick for removing the piston pins, the car has over 200K miles on it. Thanks!
  4. I've got an 88 wagon with the NA ea82. I'm going to replace the heads pretty soon and i was wondering how much material in the exhaust port can safety be removed? What is a good pipe diameter for the exhaust on these engines? And anyone know of a place to get a better cam?
  5. Where is a good source for cyl heads online?
  6. Has anyone with a ea82 put the cams from a turbo engine in a non turbo engine? I have a cracked head and I was thinking if i'm going to replace them I might as well see about getting a little more power. Thanks!!
