  1. right so u mean there are 3 wires in the ignition curcuit plus one for the tacho?
  2. Hey thanks Archi, will tackle in the weekend, yes it damn well will fit!
  3. Hey guys, have a hairy one for you. Changed engine from an ea82t to an ea81. Both ignition systems where fine before change. Because the wiring blocks and wire colours where different from coil(ea82) to distibutor(ea81) i had to mix and match. So what i have is the car almost starting but not quite, its firing.I only have one wire connected from coil to distributor, this seems to be the only one that delivers any spark. Anyone know if i need to have the whole block of four wires connected to deliver a strong enough spark? Any other general ideas much appreciated.
  4. Hey guys,a wealth of information in here! I'm halfway through the change now. Ea81 engine to 82 5 speed. Im hesitant to change flywheel to ea82,im worried about the smaller bolt size, anybody have experience with vibration on the road? I'd change p/plate to the 81 but it wont fit over 82 clutch disk. How bout an xtra clutch spline bearing (as packing).Im unsure of actual difference in size between the two p/plates. Also the 81 p/plate looks as though it would fit over the 82 clutch plate except for some extra material on the inside of pressure plate, maybe i can machine this out? Know theres clearance there somewhere. Any help greatly appreciated!
  5. First of all thanks to all that have replied to my previous questions, your help has been invaluable,in particular Miles Fox. What i basically have here is an 86 turbo Wagon, your equivelant of a gl-10 i think. Ive pulled the blown turbo motor and have bolted an Ea81 carbed motor in. But the Clutch isnt working, which is to say its engaged and wont disengage. I swapped turbo clutch including thrust bearing but not the flywheel, the flywheels looked the same. Also,ea81 distributor to ea82 coil, four wires in a block, none of the colours match, nore do the blocks, how do i match em up,other than guessing?
