  1. Yes, it does look like a blown HG. The head does seem to be warped. Does the block on these machines ever get warped and need to be machined?
  2. I've got what I thought was a blown head gasket/cracked or warped head on a 85 GL Wagon, auto trans and no turbo. It has blown coolant out the overflow of the rad and has water in the oil. As I removed the head this evening, I observed the shaft of the lower set of head bolts to be rusted and corroded. One of the bolts was so corroded I could barely pull it out. Do I have a crack in the block? What's causing the corrosion on the bolts? The car does have a lot of miles (150,000 +). I ran out of time to really do a good job of checking the head. Up to the point of removing the head bolts all parts seemed normal (at least from a guy that usually works on British cars). I'm open to all ideas!
