  1. Well I just replaced the original water pump on mine at 410,000km
  2. 1991 Subaru Legacy 2.2L 4 cylinders New Rad, New Failsafe Thermostat, New water pump, New Timing belt (runs water pump). With thermostat removed you get full flow through engine. As soon as thermostat is installed flow to heater hose stops and engine overheats. All air bleed out over two days through rad and heater hose. Engine has been flushed with acid running through system for two days. Engine ran all summer long without thermostat and never came close to overheating. Any advise on the subject would be appreciated. Thank you Kevin Boyde e-mail k-fuzzy@telusplanet.net
