  1. OK so I think I found it, although it was over the passenger side front axle shaft. This looks bad right? Think I can get away with just replacing the worn gear? Though I would assume The gear this rides on is also worn unless it is made of a stronger grade metal. Any miracle suggestions? Thanks! Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  2. So the 4EAT in my '86 GL-10 will only shift into 1st and 2nd manually, and not into 3rd. Every other gear works fine. From the research I've done here I figure I need to pull out the tranny governor, clean it, and make sure it's not "applecored." My question is where is the governor located on the tranny? The Haynes/ Chilton manuals don't point to it and I can't find any pics online. Anyone know where I can find it? Thanks!
  3. Just bought an '86 gl-10 from a guy who said the passenger side head gasket was blown. I have it taken apart and am looking at the heads. It looks like there is a crack between the valves. Is this a normal place they crack? Is this a functional or useless head?
  4. While trying to diagnosis why the EA82 on my '92 Loyale completely lost it's balls the other day, and why the engine was surging at idle, I found fuel pouring out near the gas tank. Took off the little plate where the fuel pump is mounted and found the leak. At on end of the fuel pump is a metal case that appears to house a diaphragm or something. Fuel is squirting out (quite a bit) at the base of a tiny rubber nipple mounted at the end of the fuel pump. Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this leak without having to replace the working fuel pump? I'll learn how to post a picture here in a minute.
