    Yep a fairly loud buzzing noise - like something loose vibrating! Not through the wheel and appears at 2500 rpm whether you're driving or stationery!

    I have recently bought an 02 Legacy (2 litre) with 68,000 miles. There is a nasty vibration that starts at about 2500rpm and stops at approx 3000rpm. More obvious from outside than when driving. Present whether clutch is in or out and also when stationery. I would say that it is something loose but hard to pin it down to an exact location in the engine bay. I'd appreciate any thoughts?
