I recently purchases a 98 forester. Are the doodads on the luggage compartment walls built-in top tether anchorages for car seats or are they just for tiedowns for other accessories? The car did not come with an owner's manual and for some reason the My.Subaru. com web site is not working for me today. Thanks Bill C

I needed a DRL installed for a 98 Forester. I bought the Hamsar 45020 for around $40 Canadian and my mechanic installed it. He said it would not work according to the directions ( blew a fuse, or else sent out pulses) but he managed to get it to work . It does not shut off when the emergency brake is on, but it passed muster for the Canadian Federal Inspection. http://www.hamsar.com/drl.htm

Thanks for the replys. I am located in BC and bought a car on Ebay that is in Boston. It is being trucked to Spokane where I will pick it up. It may(probably) has head gasket problems so I am looking at the cost of getting it fixed here and towing it home or fixed in Spokane and driving it. I will call C&H on Monday morning.
