  1. Ignitor Bad, 96 Legacy?

    Hello All, Just found this forum after searching for a replacement ignitor for my mom's Subie. It developed a non start problem. It was getting fuel, but no spark. I checked the coil pack and the resistance measured OK, checked the resistance of the crank sensor. I assume that leaves the engine computer and the ignitor. I hooked up a scope and verified I had a pulse going into the ignitor, I then checked the output and had a output pulse ?? I plugged the ignitor back in and now its running ok! My guess is the ignitor is flaky, I would just replace it but its $200 at most parts stores! Does anyone know a cheaper source? On Honda products the ignitor is a $30 part. Thanks, Don
