  1. Bio,

I didn't pay much attention to the angles. Most of my stuff was measured/laid out on the floor and then custom bent to match the pattern on the concrete. I also used some artistic license in some of the bends. Most of the external bends are cosmetic and the actual/exact angles are "negotiable". My front is narrower than the plans and slopes more than the plans--better visibility. The rear was bent to match the frame. The sides were bent so the width was correct for the plans/matched the front & rear widths.

  2. I posted some early build pics of the area that is a problem.

The instructions seem to leave out any real details on hanging the steering wheel or fabricating the pedal box mounts. I temporarily installed a seat and hung the steering wheel from straps to help figure out where it needed to be and still connect to the steering assembly. I made drop down mounts to connect to existing bolts on the steering assembly. See pics.

  3. I re-posted your pic in the album. It's neither 58 nor 73. It's actually below both of them on the actual frame rail/engine mount rail.

  4. No problem, I had pics documenting the whole build but when we changed boards all the pics were removed. I have only uploaded a few pics back to the board.

I'd consider modifying the plans before you start building.

For starters, I dropped the front 6" from what the plans called for.

Better vision and no real need for a hood that high.

I put the hood at the height at the top of the radiator.

Second thing I did was to stretch the plans to a four seater version.

You'll also need to move one of the chassis braces back fairly far from what the plans call for. A 25X12X12 tire won't fit until you move the brace backwards.

I'd build the heater into the plans. You'll never regret having heat during the fall/winter season.

    Later,

    Glenn
