So im thinking of doing an exhaust upgrade and im between an axle back exhaust or straight pipe the whole thing. I want a mean growl and want my gl to sound mean. I have a 1988 Subaru GL 4WD 5 speed wagon

So tonight I was on my way home from a friends and when my car got up to 40 mph it started to rumble and bounce towards the rear back tire area and I can't think what it would be. I was on the freeway driving earlier today and I heard a loud thump and I am lost at what is the problem.

Does anyone how much torque a 1988 Subaru GL transmission can handle?

I just replaced my front brake rotors and pass and after I picked it up the brake pedal is really soft and goes all the way to the floor and my 88 gl wagon slowly slows down what is the problem that is making thisn happen. The mechanic said he bled the brakes.

I love my subbie it's actually a 1988 but here in utah it's the perfect car for the weather and I love to selective 4wd the car has I haven't seen any on the road since I've owner it. Thanks for the info on the rims mine are rusted bad and I need better looking ones

I like the car a lot and live that it's so rare even utah where I live everyone that sees it loves it cuz it's such a piece of history. I do have one question where can I find a nice set of rims for it?
