I own a 98 subaru legacy L wagon. It has an automatic transmission. The problem is that during tight turns either way there is a vibration (torque bind) that feels as though it is more in the back of the car. This is either warm or non warmed up. I have heard that it could be the center differential (I know an automatic car does not have one, but I do not know the name of what it really is, so please if you know the proper names of what I need to replace please let me know.) The ratio that the transmission uses is a 4.11.
Thanks guys, if pics are needed just let me know.
What I have done so far to remedy the situation:
Resealed and flushed the power steering pump
Replaced the inner and outer tire rods and had an alignment
Replaced tires
Aight, so I just replaced the oil in the rear differential, There was some metal shaving in there. Unfortunately it had no affect.
The FWD fuse does work, so it can't be the C duty solenoid
My next attempt will be to change the transmission fluid and add some lubegard and drive it
