  1. Well, it seems that a brand new car and battery can't take the stress of listening to the radio, with rear hatch open with hatch light on, for about 20 minutes. I assumed that a battery could handle that. The AAA person who jump started the battery told me this. If the car were running, it would not have been a problem. Now I know. Back to normal now. Thanks for your reply,EMofS.
  2. Electrical issue for 6 week old 2014 at 4pm. Dealer wouldn't help. Plugged 9 volt device into 9 volt outlet (to test it) near back of my 6 week old 2014 subaru forester xt Touring. Screwed up electrical system so can't start the car. When I plugged the device in, the radio was on but the engine wasn't running; I was organizing the wayback. A few minutes later, I noticed radio was not on. Battery is not dead as the regular lights on display appear when open door and radio will work. I tried all of the buttons on remote (key) and manually locked and unlocked door, but car won't start! All it does is flash all of the dash lights when crank the key. Could it be a fuse/circuit breaker or security system thinks its enabled, even though I press the open button? This is the exact vehicle http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/Subaru_Forester/2014/specs/Forester-2.0XT-Touring-356385/ Thanks in advance
