I replaced the distributor with a factory rebuild Cardone distributor, not getting spark. I was getting spark from the distributor but the bushing where worn and wasn't getting consistent spark, thought maybe ignition module might be bad in rebuilt distributor, I tried using the original module in the rebuild distributor, didn't help. I tested the coil, tested OK. Replaced the ignition switch. Any ideas?

If I had an Hitachi carb, that would be great. There's plenty of Hitachi kits out there. I tried the FY accelerator pump, won't do the job, not enough pressure, barely squirts gas. Where can I get Hitachi carb and manifold?

Thanks for the suggestions. I am looking at my options, I haven't found an Hitachi Carb or intake manifold yet, I have been looking. Any suggestion? Also thinking of the Holly 5200. Just got the YF accelerator pump today, will try to adapt it to the TYF, keep you posted. I did find a rebuild kit for $150.

Thanks. Walker has a rebuild kit but wants $250 for it. I am going to try to modify a Carter 7416 S accelerator pump, it's about a inch longer, little cutting, see what happens.

Thanks for your help. Just sent Walker an email regarding the kit listed, the kit doesn't show a number for the accelerator pump, so I asked them if a pump was included.. National Carburetors can order a kit but they want $175, for it. Talked to Royze Monday, they haven't had the pumps for 12 years.

I was trying to rebuild my Carter-Weber carb but having a very difficult time finding a rebuild kit, I did find one for $175. I guess the problem is the unique accelerator pump. I have tried at lot of vendors, Walker, Royze, Summit and many more. Does anyone have a source for the accelerator pump, or have a carburetor they want to sell? This is an Arizona Brat, it was sitting for a long time and the pump dried out, soaked the pump in WD 40 for a couple of days, the diaphragm is now flexible but some of the rubber coating is gone. Has anyone modified a Carter VF pump to work on the 82 Brat? Any suggestions????
