    Standard tire size for the 2007 Outback is 225/55R17. My car needs new tires and someone local is selling the new tires off his 2014 Forester that measure 225/60R17. Does anyone know if these tires would be compatible before I pay for them? Thank you so much for helping me out.

    I have a 2007 Subaru Outback with tires that measure 225/55R17. A guy in my town is selling the new tires off of a 2014 Forester that measure 225/60R17. Will the Forester tires fit if I purchase? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. Best regards, James
