  1. My 1.8 liter impreza wagon, has a hard time shifting out of second, unless i remove all presure from the gas pedal. If i keep on the pedal, the tranny will stay in second gear, and the rpm limiter kicks in. This does not happen from 1rst to 2nd, nor 3rd, to I assume overdrive. Could this have anything to do with fluid levels? Or is this something that all automatic trannys eventually do? 175,000 miles

  2. I pulled down most of the gas tank on the new subie today.

Seemed like it wouldn't come down all the way with the exhaust dropped down and the straps removed? I was sure to remove the fill vent tube, electric connection (sending unit im assuming)

and the lines from tank and connection near the wheel well.

is there something that i am missing or do you have to drop the rear end out of the car to get the tank out completely??????

I was able to make enough room to slide the leaky line out, but i would love to drop the whole tank and replace all of the lines:banana:

  3. Just what i heard from a friend from Japan about the stars logo

"In 1994 I was told that"----

There a five stars on the logo that stand for the sub companies that make the parts for the cars

    hence creating the largest star

    Subaru

with a grand total of 6 stars(5 small and 1 big)

As for the logo used on this web page - maybe the extra star is for the usmb

  4. Just wanted to let y'all know how excited I am to be picking up my second scoob.

I went looking for a subie to replace my 94 ford probe se (Don't get me started on what a peice that this car is). Stopped by my favorite junk yard,,excuse me,,, Used Auto Parts Yard,,( not to insult the wonderful things that can come out of one)

The owner, Tom, had just picked up an impreza from a garage that the previous owners had brought it because they smelled gas. This baby needs a new fuel line to the tank and some struts,, definately in the back and maybe in the front :bday:

With a lovely price tag of 500 dollars,, woo hoo :headbang:

  5. Thank you for your advice on the oem wires,, Ill pick up a new set soon,,

Just one more ?? about this car,,

The owners manual says that my car has a 15.9 gallon capacity fuel tank,, but when i fill it up, the guage reads empty,, when i fill it i can only get in about 11 gallons,, If i do the math,, im only getting 16 mpg? doesn' t sound right for a subbie?

My foot isn't made out of lead,, but it isn't full of feathers either:burnout:
