  1. CCR the only way to go for a 2.5. No head gasket issues. 3 year 35k warranty.Mine runs great after 14k
  2. For what its worth I bought an EJ25 DOHC from CCR 18 months ago. After installing it in my 97 Legacy in my garage it fired up on the third turn of the motor and has been going great for 13k. If you need a motor they are the best. Never a single problem.
  3. Have a 2004 with 54000 trouble free miles. Its been a rattle trap since day one but its a wagon so you have to expect that. Have a 1997 Legacy GT that I've had since new that is my daily driver that I llike alot more. But its a sedan and much quieter.
  4. I just put a rebuilt from CCR in my 97 Legacy GT. $3100 for motor, shipping, and gasket set exchange. They pay the shipping for the core back to them. Great motor and it started on the third crank of the motor. I did the install with the help of a friend.
  5. put your key in the ignition and turn it on before you connect the battery. There is a button under the dash by the hood release that will also disarm the alarm
  6. I have a 1997 legacy GT with 170K. Head gaskets are leaking as is the norm for this year. I want to put a new motor in it.Any suggestions, is CCr the best place to buy a long block as opposed to a JDM motor. I have had the car since new and plan to drive it at least another 10 years.
