Hello all - first post here. I've searched through some archives and can't find a definitive answer to this, so I thought I would post.
I just got a 94 FWD Legacy a few months ago. About 6 weeks ago the clutch seemed to start slipping in 5th - then 4th.... 3rd..... This morning, it was horrible - but, it was also about 20 degrees outside (not sure if that makes a difference or not).
The legacy has 124k on it, so i'm betting the clutch is ready to go. However, are there any adjustments I can make to possibly extend its life for a few months??
Also, if I need to put a new clutch in, I'd rather tell the mechanic what to buy instead of just going with whatever they want to put in it. I don't have the $$ to go all out, but I also don't want a piece of junk - any suggestions there would be very helpful.
Thanks much!!
93 Engine into 94 Legacy?

The engine in my 94 Legacy went bye-bye, so I need to put in another engine. I've heard that a 93 will fit, but wanted to check with others to see about any problems that may arise, things that will need to be changed, etc. I don't want a decent project to turn into a nightmare.
Here are the specs for my Legacy.
94 Legacy L (front wheel drive)
2.2 Liter
Non-turbo
