  1. Exhast Smell - Manifold Gasket Problems?

    glack posted a topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
    I have a 1999 Forester, 2.5 engine, which has an exhast smell coming into the interior when the "outside air" circulation is on. The muffler and pipes have checked out fine. The car had the transmission re-built 6 months ago and I'll wondering if removing and installing the exhast system during that repair, has caused the problem.
