  1. Yes I replaced all the top hats, when I tore it back down the rubber inside where the shaft sets was oblong not sure why, I'm thinking of tearing it apart and using the old one.
  2. I just finished putting KYB's all the way around on the old gal and drove it about 200 miles with no problems, coming home after work last night I picked up a very nasty CLUNK in the right rear, so I pulled the strut cap off and see where the top of the strut is hitting the cap, hence the CLUNK. Pulled it apart again to see what gives and there is nothing obvious to fix...just wondering if anyone else out there might have a suggestion.
  3. Does anyone else have thoughts on this wheel swap?. I'm also not sure which tire size will fit.
  4. Scooner the car looks nice, kinda the same look I'm going for. I've only owned my Subaru for little more than a year now but was so impressed with my 98 last winter, I bought my wife a new one. I'm now in the process of rebuilding my suspension with new struts and Whiteline sway bars front and rear...what a difference. Now I'm thinking with newer tire and wheel combo I'll have a pretty nice handling commuter. Thanks for your input.
  5. I have a 1998 Outback and want to upgrade the wheels, my question is will 2009 Outback wheels 17x7 with a 55mm offset work on this car, I'm just not sure what offsets will or won't work, I know the bolt pattern is right. Thanks for looking.
