  1. I kind of would like a "legal" installation, so I'd like to find that damn parking brake wire without tearing my car apart. Of course, I can always lift the parking brake a scosche so the light comes on while I drive if I really want to watch TV and drive. You only have to lift it 1/3" or so. Rverdoold: which wire did you connect to for 12v? Could you use the same wire as supplies the power to the stereo? I've heard the wire is gray so far, but I still don't know where to find it.
  2. I will be installing a Soundstream VIR-7830BT with TV and rear view camera option in my 2006 Legacy. I need to find the parking brake switch wire. I guess it's probably connected to the parking brake lever, but would think that it is routed through where the stereo is since the light is on the dash. I'm not sure how to get to the parking brake lever, anyway. I suppose that when I have the console disassembled for the installation, it should be easy to access, right? Does anyone know what color it is and where and how to attach it? I don't plan to use the rear view camera, but I'm curious where to tap into that as well. Seems inconvenient to tap in way back by the reverse lights. Thanks.
