  1. My Check Engine Light Came On And Fuel Consumtion Went Way Up. Auto Zone Code Reader Said Code 120 Throttel Position Sensor . When I Start The Car It Revs Way Up And Holds There For A Minute or So ,higher Revs Then Normal For Neutral .Checked Resistance Reading On Tps And they Seemed Ok.Seemed To Be Set Right And The Problem Came Out Of Nowhere WHEN IN GEAR REVS DROP BUT PERFOMANCE AND GAS MILAGE IS STILL GONE .Any Ideas On What Next ? Is It Necessary To Clear Code Befor Results Can Be Expected . Thanks Ron
  2. I recently replaced the automatic transmission in my 96 legacy. It would seem to me the old one would have some value , perhaps to a rebuilder ,Iam in the cincinnati ohio area and wonder if any knows of anyone that might have an interest in this core .
  3. I Recently Purchased A 96 Legacy 2.2automatic With 80 K Miles . It Obviously Was Not Well Cared For But appears To Have Some Potential. Dealer Advises I Have A Torgue Lock Transmission Problem Starting At A Repair Cost Of $1300 . I Also Have A High Pitched Whine From A Gear Case Or Trany which i eepect will cost more money. Ill Be Letting The Dealer Evaluate All This Next Week . I Expect That The Torque Lock Problem Will Result In A Complete Rebuild And More Money. Should I Consider Looking For A Replacement Transmission ? And How Much Should I Expect To Pay For The Transmission And Again For Installation. Iam Located In Cincinnati Ohio And Iam Not Aware Of Any Private Or Independant Subaru Repair Facilities . Any And All Comments Would Be Appreciated . Thank You Ron.
